Brazzers Files UDRP Case Against Affiliate Brazers.com

BURBANK, Calif. — MindGeek has filed a cypersquatting claim with WIPO arbitrators against the operator of the domain name Brazers.com — a typo of one of the web’s most popular adult sites, Brazzers.com.

According to Internet records, typo site Brazers.com was registered about 10 years ago — likely as an affiliate program to MindGeek’s Brazzers.com  — and has forwarded to BrazzersNetwork.com since at least 2009. MindGeek’s Brazzers.com originally started hosting porn in 2006.

Michael Berkens, who first reported the claim Saturday on TheDomains.com, said that the claim by MindGeek will be an intriguing case to watch because of the legal doctrine of latches.

“It will be interesting to see what the owner of Brazzers.com has to say about the typo domain since they certainly have been paying the owner of the typo for many years,” Berkens said. “It’s going to be pretty hard to deny knowledge of the domain or its use."

MindGeek's Brazzers.com is one of the top adult entertainment membership networks with 30 websites. Branded as the "world's best HD porn site," Brazzers. com offers more than 5,000 downloadable and streaming videos, as well as live shows, on its sites.

MindGeek also operates Twistys.com, YouPorn.com, Spankwire.com, RedTube.com, Tube8.com, ExtremeTube.com, KeezMovies.com, Mofos.com, ExtremeTube.com, JuicyBoys.com and PornHub.com, as well as Really Useful, Playboy Plus, Digital Playground and Reality Kings.
